These are two blog posts, combined to one – for no real reason
Something is happening inside Twitter, and something is being done to Jack. This is what I am thinking. Any player can be removed from the chessboard in 3 moves or less in this world.
Today is the 1st of November, and the results of the election are not out yet. Trump is likely to be removed and also face harsh consequences.
I believe trump did some good things. His failures stem from his unfortunate hostile world-view.
The good things he did include exposing how media control the narratives of the world, how institutions like WHO can be corrupted and used to manipulate, how social media can be used to hack democracy, the china behind the mask etc.
I do not like his style or his world view. His failures are a failure of style and how having a hostile world view can make you successful and miserable to those around you.
I believe he will be a better choice than Biden for lack of any real choice but will lose this election.
Living in a country where there has been no coronavirus for months now and loving the freedom it brings, I dread the possibility of a second wave here.
No country can stay closed for long, and I believe the world is doing a super lousy job to eliminate a small problem. Yes, a small problem made a big problem by lack of leadership, trust, and co-ordination mixed with misinformation.
Coronaviruses are RNA genomes. They do not stay dormant for a long time like integrating genomes like HIV, so it can be completely irradicated if you stop replicating and spreading. The fact that this virus does not combine with host DNA and the fact that RNA degrades with time makes it possible to eliminate it within 14 to 30 days altogether.
There is no vaccine required. The only vaccine humanity needs today is strong leadership. But that won’t help the pharma companies or increase GDP.
What I see in other countries is a lack of willingness to take the short term pain. The episode of covid -19 in India, Europe, and the US is the perfect example of “A soft doctor will make a nasty wound.”
I am also not seeing a citizen movement to lockdown themselves for just 14 days anywhere globally, which is enough to eradicate the spread.
Restrictions will be put in November, so the death numbers slow down sufficiently to affect the Christmas shopping and its impact on GDP.
As a species, we measure the wrong number as an indicator of our success and pay a massive penalty.
The two worlds: And my new resolution.
We live in two worlds—the world in our heads and the collective hallucination we create together that we call outside reality.
The result is individuals and institutions endlessly manipulate us. We don’t have enough real trust and no total fulfillment, and everything moves so slow in our collective reality.
All the problems in the collective hallucination happen because human intelligence currently in a rut. We are smart enough to hide true intentions but not smart enough to detect it.
I have concluded that any attempt to improve the collective hallucination must come only after fixing our internal hallucinations.
The collective hallucination that we call reality and the world we live in is in the constant assault by bad actors with bad intentions. But trying to fix it without fixing our internal hallucinations is a futile effort at best.
The only way to improve the collective hallucination is that each of us turns inwards into our own lives.
Life = 80% intention, 10% habits, 10% the meaning you give to things.
However, it works like a combination lock. All three have to align for it to open.
I have seen how fragile our collective hallucination is, but that is just a reflection of our own minds’ fragility.
From 2020 to 2022, I have decided to turn inwards and attempt to fix my internal hallucinations.
PS: I have been advised by my friends after this post that – trump might actually win – reasons being: Voter suppression methods being used, swing states are republican controlled, electoral college favoring Trump, etc. I hope they are wrong! If I am wrong it would also be an opportunity to learn something new – 2 days to go!
